Je suis un rêve / I am a Dream

Merveilleuse lumière qui traverse
la Nuit, qui transperce le Temps.

Etoiles, je vous aimais,
Amour, je te croyais.

Mais je suis un rêve
et vous aussi.

Je pleure – ce n’est rien.
Si je cesse de rêver, je meurs.

Rêve. Pénombre. Clarté. Dieu,
et tout redevient vrai.

The Light has come out of the Night
and breaks through the mist of Time.

Stars, I loved you.
Love, I believed in you.

But I am a Dream and so are you.
I’m crying. That’s nothing.

If I cease to dream, I’ll cease to live.
Dream. Darkness. Brightness. God,

and eveything comes
true.

The King

Once You were a seed
now You are a King.

You reign over all seasons
You see beyond all horizons.

You make the deaf hear
You give sight to the blind,

but those who refuse to be
little leaves falling softly down

will never see Your crown
will never reach Your realm.

Cheerful Song

Song of thanks for the Sun,
greeting song for the Stars,
I would like my last poem
to become a cheerful song,

melody from the Moon,
blue lyrics by the Sky.

Children would find it fun!

A song that would sound
like the one I loved so much
when I was a little boy.
Dream of a naive dove,

a song of hope with such
a nice farewell at the end

children would not find it sad.

La Condamnation / The Sentence

Désespérées, des fleurs mauves
ont embrassé l’Automne,
et des lumières oranges
ici et là s’attardent.

Ce jardin est un tableau,
et le monde est un faux,
et de mon âme j’ai perçu
la vacillation

quand j’ai reçu
ma condamnation.
Mais je t’aime à jamais
et c’est tout ce qui compte.

Desperate thistles
have fallen in love with Autumn.
Here and there
orange lights linger.

That garden is a painting,
and the world is a fake,
and I feel my soul quivering
for the sentence is Death,

but I love you
forever
and that’s all that
matters.
