Dandelion

“Will I survive the Storm?”

the Dandelion Seed asked to the Spirit of the Wind

“No.”

He said before adding warmly

“But the Flower will.”

Plastered teddy bear, lifeless buddy,
you’re staring into space.
It’s like you were sitting patiently,
but what are you waiting for?

Sometimes Fate is unfair:
it leaves old friends all alone
and can suddenly wipe the smile off
a little boy’s face.

O sweet companion, forgotten friend,
your foam filled soul resembles mine!
Yesterday no one saw your tears,
but God knows that you were cold

when the sun went down over the sea
and the first stars in the darkening sky
silently began to align,
then died of grief!

gold-in-a-river

In the realm where Fall
neither begins nor ends
a needy poet found
gold in a river,
amazing treasure
elves hadn’t even bothered to hide.

Singing streams still remember
the wordless prayer
he thankfully wrote on the wind
whispering through the trees,
and for all I know
in the forest of many wonders

he struck it rich.

They walked without any precise goal
and were guided through the right steps.

They asked no question
and got many Answers.

They could easily read the Message
because they gave up breaking the Bottle.

That is how Pilgrims of Silence
cracked the Secret of the Sea.

The Great Wheel

Wahoo!
We almost flew!
And the Wheel turns,
and the Heart learns.

It’s been real!
The ride does not last long,
I must admit
what stars knew all along.

Nothing lasts!
the low Tide said,
but for that moment
in the realm of the Sunset Bird,

I know waves will ever sing
the Song without any word
and the Great Wheel
will never stop spinning.

clouds
float in the sky
the sun warms the vertiginous peak
obsidian cliffs shine in the blinding light of hidden stars
and the cascade roars with laughter as it rushes down
to the one billion-years chasm
and the Soul shudders
when God says

I
made
all this
for
you

Starfishes
or silver shells,
sea glass pebbles,
blue-green diamonds.

A lost dolphin’s dream,
an angel walking on water,
or maybe the key that opens
all forgotten sandcastles.

Will we ever know
what a child
running on the beach
is looking for?
