1. get off the beaten track
  2. tiptoe along the basalt cliff
  3. talk to the seagulls, listen to the waves
  4. breathe deep the beauty of words like azure
  5. play in the salty wind (and laugh if people laugh at you)
  6. watch the sunset (without forgetting anything)
  7. never lose hope of seeing the green ray
  8. don’t try counting stars, mimic the Moon
  9. watch the Night (she never keeps Secrets for long)
  10. stay a child, and build many sand castles
  11. walk barefoot on the beach
  12. become either the dawn or mute poetry
  13. then and only then ask the Ocean

“how old is my soul?”

Quiet evening under the rain.
Promise of brighter mornings.
It won’t be long before swifts
fly in the sky again.

The garden is teaching
and I am learning
in the arms of Summer
three lessons in lightness.

Silent stars. Silent truth. Silent God.
The longest Day always gives more
than the shortest Night received.

Summer Soltice.
This is the same way Love extends
through Time and over all the world.

Dancers of Midnight
at the break of Dawn,
little fireflies lost
in the magic of shadow theaters,

why do we not watch
the sky?
It is the place where
we were born.

We are not prisoners of the Maze.
Justice glows in the dark,
and when love falls in Love
the two Worlds become

One.

Cathedral

he who makes his heart
a cathedral of light
has nothing to fear from
the shadows of the world

he who knows
how to see with
the eyes of the Heart
will discern its true colors
