Haze of Light

The Sun, 1911 - 1916 - Edvard Munch

I you were the sky, you would be
the sun of Love in a haze of light.

If I were the night, I would be
the dream in which one sees you.

If you were a rainbow, you would be
the bird of the seven colors of Hope,

and if I were a man, I would be a child
so that I could hear you singing in my heart.

Evening Dreams

Let’s climb the rocky hills!
Let’s look for blue stones!
Tomorrows are uncertain
but the sun is still shining.

The palm tree has sung,
it’s dreaming of sunsets,
my heart needs the Sea
and you have wings of light!

After the sky turns purple
the stars will align.
Remember! Evening Dreams
make the Night eternal.

Sunny Spell

if only I could lift
the curtains of rain

if only you could
stop the flow of time

the Sun would break
through clouds

and the world would be
created again
